Petty Theft & Super Diamond
Saturday, August 22nd, River Run Lodge, 8.30pm
Nationally acclaimed tribute bands Petty Theft and Super Diamond are double-headlining this year’s Concert for a Cure, the culminating event of the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial. The concert takes place Saturday, August 22nd at River Run Lodge, an unparalleled venue nestled between the picturesque Big Wood River and the base of Bald Mountain. Together, the bands bring five decades of iconic music to the stage. Concert-goers can rock out and sing along to timeless classics while supporting a worthwhile cause.
Proceeds from the concert fund life-saving leukemia and cancer research at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Boise, Idaho and the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Petty Theft delivers Tom Petty’s songs true to the originals and in the spirit of his legendary band’s live shows. They perform everything from his revered classics—“American Girl,” “Refugee,” “Free Fallin’,” “Learning to Fly,” “I Won’t Back Down”—to recent hits to deeper album cuts.
Super Diamond has been spreading the good word of “the Jewish Elvis” to sell-out shows since 1993. They deliver a glittering, high-octane performance of Neil Diamond’s most iconic songs—“Sweet Caroline,” “America,” “Cherry, Cherry,” and “Song Sung Blue”.
